We are constantly seeking inspiring ideas for regenerative community projects that help us get to know one another and create productive, shared, public spaces that utilize our landscapes more productively, while enhancing ecological health.
Since the inception of Burlington Permaculture, much of our work has focused on education and community building, and virtually all of it has been carried out by passionate volunteers.

- Development of a Free Permaculture Library at Muddy Waters Coffee Shop
- Facilitated Community Design Charrettes at the Myrtle Street Avant Garden and Burlington Co-Housing
- The Burlington Permaculture Perennial Exchange
- 6 Permaculture Design Courses
- The creation of a Burlington 'Green' (community resource map)
- Help coordinating the first annual Chittenden County Lawn to Garden Campaign and Contest
- Planning and organizational assistance with Montpelier, VT's 2009 and 2010 Village Building Convergence
- The 2017 community-guided design and installation of the a community food forest at the Ethan Allen Homestead Museum and Winooski Valley Community Gardens, with collaboration from Burlington Area Community Gardeners, Burlington Parks & Recreation, Winooski Valley Parks District, VT Comunity Garden Network, and the Family Room.
